OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer):
Unless the customer has an endorsement for OEM parts, we do not have to utilize these parts for repairs except in the case of safety equipment. Keep in mind some things are never OEM –for example tires.
LKQ (Like Kind and Quality):
A used OEM part. It should be from the same year or newer, same make and model of vehicle as the customer’s vehicle. Damaged parts are not used.
Aftermarket:
We only use aftermarket parts that are certified by the Certified Auto Parts Association (CAPA) that requires the part must meet or exceed OEM standards for “fit”, “finish”, and “form”.
